Our Students.
We understand the effects the pandemic has had on us all, especially those with additional needs. We provide access to education for those who have SEN such as:
EBD - ASD - ADHD - SEMH.
Our provision incorporates trauma informed practice in all areas of delivery. We work with students suffering from anxiety and depression relating to historic or long term trauma.
We understand the impact this can have on educational attainment, therefore we provide tailored support to students who require:
Intensive mentoring/coaching;
1:1 support, and;
A smaller classroom environment.
Our Service.
Our team of professionals have a combined experience of over 50 years working in children and young people's services, including education, sport, mentoring and residential care. Each of our programmes provide the opportunity for students to:
Understand their own physical and mental health, and;
Build positive relationships
Through 1-1 support we will help our students:
Recognise their barriers to learning;
Identify and self regulate anxiety, stress and emotions, plus;
Learn essential skills to transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Our Mission.
Our Mission At AS2Educate: We believe that all young people have the right to be educated in a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment.
We aim to: Reignite a passion for learning and instill the belief needed to create a positive future.
We will do this by: Providing a creative and practical curriculum that addresses multiple learning styles and individual needs.
We will empower our students to be part of the decision making, both in our programmes and within our approach to education, which we’ve seen improves attendance, engagement and behaviour.
At AS2Educate, we believe a multi - agency approach with professionals involved, is key to lasting success for our students and their families. We work closely with parents and carers to understand the role of the family. This collaboration is fundamental to the long term development and progress of our students.

My journey to this point has been one of enlightenment, challenge, and joy. I have over twenty years of experience working within the field of education. Prior to going to university, I achieved a lifelong goal of working in the field of law. Despite the job meeting my financial needs, something was missing. I was more emotionally invested in the Saturday School I ran from home.
I conducted research with the University of Luton’s Education Psychology Department. This was commissioned by the Department for Skills and Education (DfES) and I attended steering group meetings with the DfSE to help shape the report that followed the research.
Working with Luton Borough Council’s Lifelong Learning Education Psychology Department, I implemented psychological interventions for pupils at Key Stage 3 and 4. I had to establish a new method of working whilst realising that there is strength in collaboration. The most important lesson for me to learn at that time, was that there wasn’t ‘one hat that fits all.

I served in the British Army for five years as an infantry soldier, travelling to many different countries and meeting people from all walks of life. I’ve been able to transfer the discipline from the Army and adapted this to use with our students, in order to help create strategies to regulate emotions and manage behaviour.
I’ve been coaching and working with children for over twenty years. I’m an International Boxing Referee, (1* AIBA International Boxing Association) Team GB and England Boxing Official. I’m also a Level 2 England Boxing Coach. Through boxing, I have taught students self-defence, how to channel aggression, manage behaviour, improve confidence and self-esteem and focus on their health and well-being.
I manage the North Hertfordshire Box Cleva (non-contact boxing) initiative for 7-15-year-olds, which has won The Queens Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary services by groups in the community in 2016.

Throughout life, there are rules to follow, and I feel discipline, respect, resilience and determination are essential throughout life and try to adopt the same ethos with our students in a firm and fair approach. This ethos has helped previous students to be guided on the right path and was able to make positive life choices in order to make a positive contribution to society.
I also ran my boot camp and personal training company to the next level with a unique style of training. This encompasses the passion I have for health and well-being which I use when working with our students.
I love the outdoors and have worked with many students to improve their SEMH through teaching my outdoor Bushcraft sessions (where I hold a Bushcraft Competency Certificate), which also contributes to our students’ Duke of Edinburgh Award qualification.
Right Trax is a company that uses motorcycles as a medium of communication to teach students how to ride safely and maintain motorbikes. I’ve helped instruct with them for five years and have seen first-hand how motorcycles have helped students reignite a passion for learning through this creative and practical activity.
My goal in life is to make a difference to support and help students throughout their young lives.
